Nearing the end of July in 2006 Einar "Spinister" Galilea wanted to showcase his skills as a warrior in the form of an action-packed, high quality video which friends and fans could share with one another - little did he know this would later lead to a series generating over 10,000 downloads per day. The title Natural Nemesis was crafted by Spinister and his teammate, Abrupt, with the idea of recognizing his Illidan guild Nemesis; Natural was catchy and, when paired with Nemesis, referenced Squarenix's Final Fantasy game cover art.
The Arenas in World of Warcraft give the most battle-hardened and cold-blooded fighters a place to compete against each other in gladiatorial battles for honor, glory, and power. The main goal of the Arena PvP System is to offer players a highly competitive environment that does not rely so much on a huge investment of time but rather on a team's playing skills. Blizzard's Arena system was created with the formation of different stages drawn out over four months starting with ladders where teams from different battlegroups were selected for the qualifiers. Qualifiers were designed the same as ladders; however, only the top teams were invited to this tier. After Qualifiers the top 8 teams are invited to compete in the regions live finals.
Throughout this journey Flow Gaming's World of Warcraft team clashed with other top groups in hopes of securing an all expense paid trip to San Diego for the Blizzard USA Finals; with hard work and dedication Flow Gaming, formerly known as the Huks of Team Ice, was able to maintain an overall top 3 status throughout the qualifier stage. While taking on the best teams in North America players Einar "Spinister" Galilea and Brian "Tiz" Gustafson were able to capture some of the best moments and produce footage to be professionaly edited by Abrupt - with these moments we bring you Natural Nemesis III.
Featured in this video are teams Power Trip, The Fighting Mongooses, Clan Hexx, Overrated, X6, and CapslockCrew. After a few minutes of "fun" footage featured 5v5 action captured while FlowGaming competed in the 2 week qualifier round of the arena playoffs. Due to the lack of performance while recording matches Natural Nemesis III mainly features Brian "Tiz" Gustafson's point of view; however, you should be able to get a feel of the entire enviroment as the camera angle is third person.
With the ongoing growth of the massive World of Warcraft community and support of fans around the world the Natural Nemesis series should continue. Future videos will feature footage from the World Series of Video Games, Blizzard Arena Finals and more; the overall goal is to incorporate more player footage because, as John "Nuvas" Liao jokingly says, "no one wants to see a warriors tunnel vision!"
