This fight is still pretty painful because of the fact that the longer the fight lasts the higher the incoming damage becomes.

Opener swap: I did make use of the PVP Combat 4 set that causes Vanish to grant 5 Combo points and 100% critical strike chance on your next Ambush. I do recommend making use of this bonus especially if the boss has any tight DPS checks.

The key is still very much holding defensive cool downs until the last 20% but you still need to be able to kill him before he kills you.

It should be noted that Smoke Bomb will cause LoS preventing the Shadowy Minions from casting Shadowy Grasp (periodic Shadow bolts that do a lot of damage towards the end of the fight) making this a very useful defensive CD.
